From the conception of Dave's Specialty Imports - DSI, it was Dave's intention to develop a working relationship with the customer. The basic fundamental idea was to give the customer superior quality berries and asparagus while staying in constant communication during each and every stage of the importing process. He knew that a vital part of ensuring quality was to be involved from the time of harvest until it arrived at its final destination, thus earning the trust of both the customer and the grower. It was because of this impeccable follow through, he achieved the reputation of being a fair and honest importer.

In the years to follow, with the steady growth of DSI, Dave expanded his sales force to include two additional offices. In 1996, Dave's son Mike Bowe, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, brought to the business more than 20 years of retail and produce experience. In 2000, Dave's second son, Chris Bowe, with 20 plus years of retail experience, joined the team with an office in Pittsgrove, New Jersey.

Together Dave and his two sons have made Dave's Specialty Imports one of the largest berry importers in the United States. DSI continues to expand and compliment the berry volume by developing relationships with growers in British Columbia and throughout the domestic growing areas in the United States. As a family owned and operated business, DSI takes pride in the service and satisfaction they provide to accommodate each and every customer.
